FAF (Female Arts in Florence), founded by Giulia Castagnoli in December of 2020, is a dynamic, multipurpose space designed to foster international cultural projects and provide a supportive environment for female artists. Serving both as a contemporary shop and an art gallery, FAF showcases local female artists, offering them a platform to exhibit their work and engage with the artistic community.
Founder’s Vision and Mission
Giulia Castagnoli established FAF with a clear mission: to create a space where female artists could thrive, collaborate, and gain visibility in a world of art where women remain underrepresented. Through her own journey as an artist and entrepreneur, she recognized the challenges of sustaining a creative career and realized that many women face similar obstacles. She envisioned FAF as more than just a gallery: she wanted to create a hub where contemporary art and craftsmanship unite in harmony, inspired by the Bauhaus concept.
